Fraport Slovenia received the Crystal   Triglav 2021 award

Zg. Brnik, 14 October 2021 –  The company Fraport Slovenija, the manager of Ljubljana Airport, is the proud winner of Kristalni Triglav 2021, one of the highest awards in the field of tourism in Slovenia. The award was presented by the Slovenian Tourist Journalists' Association for the eleventh time as part of the event Days of Slovenian Tourism in Postojna Cave.

Dr. Babett Stapel, Managing Director of Fraport Slovenija, said: “On behalf of Fraport Slovenija, I am honored and proud to accept this prestigious and esteemed award. This is a recognition to all our employees for their many years of dedicated work and for completing a very important project in exceptional circumstances. The new passenger terminal is a great achievement that enhances the travel experience and shows a firm belief in the revival of traffic at our airport. At the same time, it is a great contribution to Slovenia and a contribution to the further growth of the Slovenian economy.

According to the Association of Tourist Journalists of Slovenia, Fraport Slovenija, with the support of the owner Fraport AG, handed over a new passenger terminal at Ljubljana Airport in July this year just before Slovenia's presidency of the Council of the European Union and before the start of the main tourist season with which it doubled number of passengers in international traffic. It is about the infrastructure, crucial for the long-term development of the airport, Slovenian tourism and the improvement of the air connectivity of our country. The Association also recognized the establishment of new air connections in the difficult conditions of slow recovery after the epidemic which is of the extraordinary importance for the country and for Slovenian tourism.
